The Singapore Police Force Band, one of the nation’s oldest and most distinguished bands, engaged us to produce a corporate video commemorating their 100th anniversary.
The video aimed to trace the band’s key milestones over the past century while highlighting the dual role of its members: not only as performers, but as police officers who contribute to Singapore’s law and order. With a forward-looking perspective, the film celebrates both the legacy of the SPF Band and the milestones yet to come.

THE CHALLENGE
Marking a 100-year milestone called for more than a conventional corporate video built around archival footage and B-roll. The challenge was to honour the band’s heritage while keeping the storytelling engaging, contemporary, and emotionally resonant over a 7-minute runtime.
Another key challenge was performance authenticity. As the band members are not professional actors, the narrative needed to feel natural and credible while still delivering a structured and compelling story.
OUR SOLUTION
We developed an out-of-the-box concept centred on a conversational narrative between selected band members, allowing the story to unfold organically through shared memories and reflections. Working closely with SPF Band, we identified key achievements to feature and wove them into a carefully crafted script.
To ensure natural delivery, we spent months preparing the talents through rehearsals and guided direction. Multiple filming locations were selected to support each narrative beat, allowing visuals to complement the dialogue seamlessly.
We further elevated the viewing experience through deliberate camera choices, lighting design, and the introduction of fresh transitions, both in-camera and in post-production, keeping the 7-minute film engaging from start to finish.
